A Note to Parents:
We Build Confidence, Not Just Hockey Players
Hi, I am Frank Marotte.
I founded Stride.
Whether your kid asked you to look into my program or you found us on your own, I know it is your job to protect their time, their health, and your money.
I want to explain exactly who I am, what we do, and why this is not just another hockey camp.

Who I am
I played NCAA Division 1 and professional hockey. But I was not a natural talent. At 15, I got cut from every top-level team. I built a career because I learned how to manage my sleep, my nutrition, and my mindset.
I also made dumb mistakes. I missed my only NHL call-up because I put my phone on airplane mode to get a perfect night of sleep. I share this because athletes do not need a perfect coach. They need a mentor who makes mistakes and learns from them.
The Problem in Youth Hockey
Nearly 70% of kids drop out of sports by their teens because of burnout. Your kid already has access to every drill and workout on the internet. They are probably working hard, but the effort is not showing up on the ice.
They do not need more information. They need a filter.
Burnout happens when kids specialize too early and spend day and night thinking about one thing. We reject the "grind" culture. We teach athletes how to build real confidence by mastering the things they actually control.
How Stride Works
We focus on the Stride Pyramid: North Star (identity), Foundations (habits), Health (engine), and Performance (game). We only focus on 3 daily habits within: Fuel, Attitude & Mindset, Relationships & Environment, Movement, and Sleep (FARMS).
We do not use fad diets or magic pills. We measure success by hitting 80% consistency on daily habits. Doing a good habit for 10 minutes is better than doing nothing at all.
We keep your data secure using Google Workspace. We also send regular updates to you as the parents to ask for feedback and observations. Please note that our mentorship is not medical care.
The Next Step
The entry point is the Stride Foundation Check. It costs $249.
This gives us a baseline score on their health, performance, and daily habits. We review the data to find the single biggest problem holding them back. We call this the bottleneck.
We do not overwhelm them. We assign the "Vital 3". These are three simple daily habits they control completely, like drinking water or fixing their sleep schedule.
If we move forward with our 1:1 Performance Mentorship ($299/mo), that $249 is applied as a credit for the first month. If not, you still walk away with a clear report showing exactly what your kid needs to fix.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different from a regular goalie coach or skills trainer?
Skills or goalie coaches focus on what you do on the ice for 60 minutes. Stride focuses on the other 23 hours. We mentor the human behind the mask using the Stride Pyramid—addressing sleep, fuel, and mindset so the work done on the ice actually sticks.
My kid is already busy. Will this just be "one more thing" on their plate?
We reject the "grind". Stride is built on the 80/20 principle: we find the one bottleneck holding them back and assign the "Vital 3" daily habits. These are small, controllable actions—like a sleep schedule or hydration—that reduce stress rather than adding to it.
Why should I pay for mentorship when I can find drills and advice online for free?
In 2026, athletes are drowning in information but starving for insight. Free content creates analysis paralysis. Stride provides a filter and a lived-experience guide to make the next step obvious, turning noise into compounding habits.
How do you measure if this is actually working?
We don't guess; we assess. We use the Stride Score—a composite index of their health and habits—re-calculated every 12 weeks to show clear, credible progress. Weekly, we track the execution rate of their "Vital 3" habits in the EverFit app.
Is my child too young or too old for this?
Our primary focus is athletes aged 15–25 facing "next level" pressures in High School, Junior, or Collegiate hockey. We also work with younger players (ages 13+) who are ready to build a professional foundation.
Can we cancel if it isn't a good fit?
The Self-Guided plan is flexible and can be cancelled anytime. For 1:1 Performance Mentorship, we typically recommend a 3-month minimum to see results, but we prioritize the human relationship first.
